I have an assignment to take the Book "A Great and Terrible Beauty" By Libba Bray And do anything i want with it. I dont want to make a poster what should i do?|||I wish I could remember the name of it, but basically, you take items that are significant to the book, and place them in a shoebox that has been decorated based on the book too. Then, as you present it, you take the items out and explain their significance to the book.
I want to call it a Memory Box, but thats not right...it'll come to me later.|||Build a cave or a little group of caves out of modeling clay. Top it off by inserting 16 candles to represent Emma’s encounter in Bombay with her mother.
If you go to a craft store, thrift store or dollar store, you should be able to pick up quite cheaply some little plastic girl dolls, a man doll (for Kartik, on which you can draw a heart for love), and two taller girl or woman dolls to represent the sorceress Circe as well as Gemma’s mom, which can be covered by a piece of white cloth (a shroud or ghost sheet) and tied around the neck -- with a skull drawn over where the mother’s face is in order to represent the haunting images Gemma sees of her mom's apparent suicide. Gemma’s doll could be glittered to represent her power. Also, find a little creature toy that reminds you of the conjured monster. [If you cannot find the right dolls, draw the characters on paper and glue to cardboard so they can also stand up in the clay floor entrance to the cave(s).] This next thing is optional: find a toy school or other little building (even made from cardboard and tape) that you could write the name of the girls’ school on it, and place it next to the clay cave(s).
Buy a miniature book or just paint one from a little piece of thick cardboard and write “Mary Dowd’s Diary” on it. Find a little black & white picture of a woman’s face in a magazine and paste it onto a dark piece of paper a little larger and write "Mary Dowd" beneath it (who is actually Gemma’s mother).
Now you can write a little synopsis of this first story in the trilogy and pick up and show the different characters and objects as you explain the tale. [Or just write out what all the dolls and objects represent on a smallish piece of paper and glue that to thin cardboard and set it by the cave(s).]
I’ll bet you’ll get an A+.
Frederic Kahler|||make a microsoft powerpoint presentation|||Well, I would either write a hellagood paper or do a PowerPoint.|||make a powerpoint.... i love making powerpoints... :]|||Why not do something that the character would do in the book? For example, if it was a romance novel, try making a love letter by one character to another. for adventure, make a scrapbook containing experiences and personal anecdotes. either way, i greatly recommend you do a project that relates to at least one of the characters, which greatly conveys your appreciation for the book.
it's best if you mention the theme of the book indirectly through your work, as well as the different characters in book, events and places.
traditional stuff are good too. like if it was set in a monarchy area, make it look all britain-y with gold and stuff. :D
