I have tried to take advice from some of my favorite authors, including Stephenie Meyer, Libba Bray, Tamora Pierce, and Jane Austen, but I would like more ideas on how to continue writing after you have a brain freeze on the beginning pages.|||I know that everybody has that secret book that they save so they dont mess it up in their youth. Go ahead and take a shot at an opening paragraph and put it away. Start sevearl opening paragraphs for many differnt books. Dont be afraid to not finish just ONE. Than move them all together, or draw straws and see where it takes you. Or, somthing i love to do. Meditate, find your happy place, that one you dream of. And try to describe it, but don't ever show anybody, just keep that as your little peice of insperation.|||Take a piece of paper and just write for ten minutes. It can be about anything--you could describe your cereal bowl if you can't think of anything else to write. Hopefully you'll get some ideas that way|||You might want to try asking the same thing on these writer forums: http://absolutewrite.com/forums/index.ph鈥?/a>
You can some good help there from people who have thought through the issue.
