It's just so sick. Some of my friends at school say it's hilarious and bray with laughter when watching. It just makes me feel like throwing up most of the time though. They say that it's just funny. But why? How? Does anyone agree with me?|||There are many kinds of humor: Highbrow-upscale,dry thinking person's humor Middlebrow-regular guy humor Lowbrow-risque,ribald,doofus and mostly offensive fratboy humor. Family Guy quite definitely falls into the third category and as your reaction to it demonstrates, it is indeed not for everybody. I watch it myself,and even I have to turn my head in disgust when they clearly go beyond the pale. I like Family Guy NOT for the gross factor,but for the alternately clever/doofus humor,the send-ups/parodies and the signature flashback "Like the time I..." jokes. On that level, it's a great show, And sometimes you just want to watch some good silly comedy just to get some relief from all the crap that's happening these days. And even silly comedy can make serious points about real life issues ala Scrubs. In short they have heart. On shows like Family Guy, that heart isn't readily evident, so you've gotta kind of DIG for it. So if you can acknowledge all that and,hard as it is,overlook the gross and naughty bits, perhaps you'll be able to enjoy it a little more. Like I said,lowbrow humor is not for everyone,but even it has a purpose.|||Some people just do not like it. It is usually dry and sarcastic, and I agree that some of it is like "man they took it to far" but sometimes its just funny, it all depends on your tastes. Approach the show knowing its a joke, and the writers wrote it to be a joke and relax and watch it, if you do not then thats fine, a lot of people don't, and a lot of people do.|||As it's an adult comedy,maybe you aren't mature enough to understand the sarcasm,nuances,and political undertones. Do you realise,Mayor Adam West,is actually voiced by Adam West,who was 'Batman' in the 1960s series,and is taking the p*ss out of himself!? When you have lived life a bit more,maybe you'll find it as funny,as this 48 year old Welshman does!|||Sorry, but if you have to ask why it's funny then you will never understand. It's adult absurdest humor and not meant for everyone. You might say prudes need not try to watch it because they are sure to be shocked. Family Guy is a love it or hate it show and the one thing that is for sure is that it is not meant for children.|||I can't work it out either.... I watched one were the wee boy wanted to be sexually abused by his father and the father didn't want to do it so he paid someone to sneak into the wee boys room at night and pretend to be him.... The wee boy went off to band camp happy his dad had sexually abused..|||Sorry, but I love it. You must be too young to understand it. The satire of it all. I watch it almost every day. My Mom watches it, my nephews watch it. We all love it. When we are all together we talk about it and laugh until we can't breath.|||i love it because of its striking relatability with my family. its like, if you combine family guy and everybody loves raymond, you get my family.|||No no no no no no noooooooooooooooo. that show is awesome! everyone i know who are my friends love it! from my 10 year old friend to my 14 year old friends. that show is awesome!|||its funny cause it makes fun of other movies?shows and they have there own plot so its very creative look if you don't like it good for you but alot of other people do|||Family guy has what some people call a "Crued" sense of humour.
