For my Religion class i have to read a book that deals with themes relating to morality and/or justice.

Like, stories dealing with sexuality, prejudice, poverty, militarism, the environment, media or other
It can be biographies, historial writings or play or other.

i have 2 books that i'm considering: "who do you think you are?" by Alice Munro and "a great and terrible beauty" by Libba Bray.

So i was hoping someone can help me pick an interesting book.. any suggestions will be welcome :D|||I love a great and terrible beauty, you might also consider a time to kill, it's long but there's a movie, it's brilliant!|||"The Giver" by Lois Lowry, I cannot remember what it is about but I'm sure it has something to do with freedom and justice. can anybody give me a summary of "the sweet far thing"?and also, what happens to gemma and kartrik??|||There are many difficulties going on in the realms. Gemma has promised each tribe a share of the magic but, after discovering some bad things about some, isn't sure if that's such a good idea or not.

Gemma loves Kartik but gets angry with him later in the book. They don't kiss until the middle of the book. She takes him into the realms with her and they find that they are "soul mates."

Circe is actually alive in the well where Gemma imprisoned her. Circe can talk but can't move. Gemma wants information but has to give Circe magic in exchange for it. Seeing as Gemma thinks Circe can't get out of the well, she gives her a bit of magic. But later, Circe escapes.

There is also a Tree of All Souls that is a source of magic in the WIinterlands. Eugina Spence was imprisoned there when Circe's tracker took her. Gemma has to destroy the Tree to stop evil from spreading throughout the realms. In the end, Gemma stabs it with a special dagger. Unfortunately, Kartik didn't move away from the tree in time and he dies.... =(

It turns out that Pippa and Felicity are... a bit more than friendly. Yes, they are lesbians and they kiss each other at one part....

Pippa was turning into a horrible Winterland creature since she did not cross over the river. She sacrafices this bunny to the Winterlands to get magic and becomes corrupted. The run-down castle where she lives in the realms begins to collaps, but she stands firm, yelling that she is the "Chosen One." The castles is destroyed and takes Pippa along with it.

Ann auditions for a musical play and gets the part, fortunately.

Felicity decides to move to Paris, where she will give up her skirts and sport trousers.

Gemma sails to America to go to university.

That's pretty much it. Sorry it's so jumbled up, but I was just typing out all that I could think of. Please message me if you have any other questions. This is my favorite book in the world and I would LOVE to test my knowledge of it!|||Actually, Kartik didn't die, he is trapped inside the tree forever. But, since today's date, March 20, 2011 is prior to May 14, the last birthday the person celebrated would be the one on May 14, 2010 which would be the 39th anniversary of their birth. I wasn't initially pleased to see this trade. Hopefully this will turn out good like the Arroyo trade.|||Kearns and Lopez are solid young players. I think the Reds may have payed to steep of a price to help out their bullpen.|||Yawn...not much quality here except for Lopez, though Bray could be a good one in time. This trade won't be a diference-maker for either side.|||I am a Nats fan and the only problem i have with this trade is they got rid of Bray who is a good young pitcher. That was a big mistake in getting rid of him|||zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz|||Means Soriano is moving...|||Reds fan here, kinda disappointed, but i'll get over it. I heard bray is a future star so i'm feeling a little bit better about it. I really hate to see kearns go because he is an all-around outfielder, he can hit, run, and field. My only problem is trading for Royce Clayton, thaqts a big WTF. should have just gotten another prospect, because my reds have a ton of infielders, including castro, freel, olmedo, encarnacion, hatteberg, aurilia, and phillips, so 7 people to play 4 positions, now make that 8.|||i think that the reds are stupid and im not sure what they were thinking sure they got some bullpen help but the help sure wasnt worth the price. Felipe Lopez is a very good ss who is a all around player he can run hit for av and power he can field i also think that kearns is a solid ball player.the biggest reason this doesnt make sence to me is b/c they are in the pennant race i jus dont get it|||Being a Reds fan for 31 years, I think this trade may work. It is not the hitting that has been the problem, it is the pitching and defense. Felipe Lopez, despite being a good hitter, was rotten on defense. Austin Kearns will be missed, but at least that is one less strikeout in the lineup. When a team has three big men in the lineup, that is three chances in a row of strikeouts, especially when all three swing for the fence.

People need to stop getting so attach to players that they lose sight at what is important to the team. Defense and pitching win ball games. Look at the teams that have won the World Series in the last few years. Big men like Kearns can be replaced and shortstops like Lopez are easy to replace. Neither was an all-star. If the Reds traded an all star or potential all-star, then I would have a problem. Neither were all-stars.|||They must REALLY like Bray. Looks like the Nats are getting drunk in celebration over this one.|||I hate the trade personally. I am probably the biggest Austin Kearns fan and I did like Lopez. Yes, they did need pitching, and it might help them out but I wish they would have gotten rid of someone other than kearns. I'm in Louisville, Ky and watch the reds play every day and now I guess I'll only see Kearns when Reds are playing Nationals. I think getting rid of Dunn would have been a better deal. Dunn isn't great defensively and his average has been hovering around .240 for the last few years.

  • Initial estimates suggested up to 40 people were struck down after eating at his three-star Michelin restaurant in Bray, Berkshire.

But the figure has now leapt to 400 possible cases, said investigators from the Health Protection Agency (HPA).

The TV chef last week decided to close the famous restaurant after diners suffered vomiting and diarrhoea, and was hoping to reopen just days later.

This disease starts with a select few obtaining a bout of food poisioning in a popular restaurant, then, due to an increase in media activity, the bug develops and morphs to this highly contaigous form!

Symptoms include skiving off work, lying, induced vomiting and a heavy dose of laxatives.

In other words, some will have food poisoning, but most will fake it for their moment of fame.|||Neither. Who knows though? Suppose it'll all come out in the wash.|||It's probably a virus but for it to have been passed on to his customers in one evening I'm presuming one of his staff was the source, in which case maybe their hygiene standards need improving. 3. Not childish. And it was definitely good

    5. Virginia Doyle was actually Mary Dowd, the friend of Sarah Reese-Toome aka Circe aka Ms. Moore. When she died she went to the realms to wait for when Gemma discovers she can go there too. When Gemma destroyed the runes and let loose the magic in the realms Virginia/Mary crossed over to where souls go. Suffice to say, I'm desperate for an entertaining read right about now. My favorite book series include "The Gemma Doyle Trilogy" by Libba Bray and "The Twilight Saga" by Stephenie Meyer. I'm also a fan of authors like Maureen Johnson, Gabrielle Zevin, and Scott Westerfeld, so I guess it goes without saying that I've read most of their works as well. I'm not really picky when it comes to genre, so feel free to be creative with that. It just seems like all the suggestions I get are for books written by the above authors, which, y'know, isn't all that helpful given my position. Any new suggestions would be greatly appreciated :D

And for the record, I've read a lot of the popular YA series as well, including Harry Potter, The Inheritance Trilogy, most of Meg Cabot's stuff, His Dark Materials, Chronicles of Narnia, etc. I'm not really looking for uber-mainstream stuff right now.|||Ghost Boy by Ian Lawrence

My dog Mac was stolen from our family home in Bray on the 26th of April 2010. He is a 2 year old Jack Russell terrier. He is tan and white, fairly small and has a slightly longer tail than most Jack Russell Terriers. He is chipped and neutered and was wearing a blue bandanna collar with a name tag (though I doubt he still has that on).

My name's Braden, but people have given me the nickname Bray. For some reason, I don't know why they gave me a nickname. Is my name not good enough for them to say or something?

Why do people give nicknames to others?|||I think it's a sign of familiarity and affection. People who call you Bray probably like you and feel comfortable calling you by a more familiar sounding name.

People are also lazy by nature and nicknames are easy to remember and say.|||When I give someone a nickname I ask them if it is OK. Most of the time they like the nickname. Most of the time if they are quys I call them by their last names. It is more personable that way.|||I'm probably very guilty of that.

Nicknames come in all types--some are shorter versions of your name and some are completely different. They are given in fun and camaraderie.|||It is easier to remember their names and it is a way of feeling you have a friend.|||It's a pneumonic device to help them remember the person.

Please, can anyone help me?|||Sorry but what you are asking could cause other people to lose their jobs in the publishing industry. So I suggest you wait your turn at the library.

Meg Cabot has this to say about epiracy:

"But what about the many hard-working people who edited, copy-edited, copy-set, printed, designed, publicized, and did whatever else was necessary to get that book into print? The publishing industry is in big trouble right now, just like all those other industries we hear about on TV every night during the evening news…only no one is bailing the publishing industry out.

So publishers are having to lay people off, shut down whole divisions, and cancel book contracts. Projects some of us have been working on are being “post-poned indefinitely.” One of my best friends just got laid off from her job last week. I need to find a poem to memorize, preferably one that's 20-25 lines long.|||I haven't read the book, but from a quick Google search I believe the epigraph is from Tennyson's "The Lady of Shalott." Full text here:

I can't get the links to work so I'm pasting it here:

On either side the river lie
Long fields of barley and of rye,
    That clothe the wold and meet the sky;
And through the field the road run by
    To many-tower'd Camelot;
And up and down the people go,
    Gazing where the lilies blow
    Round an island there below,
    The island of Shalott.

    Willows whiten, aspens quiver,
    Little breezes dusk and shiver
Through the wave that runs for ever
By the island in the river
    Flowing down to Camelot.
Four grey walls, and four grey towers,
    Overlook a space of flowers,
    And the silent isle imbowers
    The Lady of Shalott.

    By the margin, willow veil'd,
    Slide the heavy barges trail'd
    By slow horses; and unhail'd
    The shallop flitteth silken-sail'd
    Skimming down to Camelot:
But who hath seen her wave her hand?
Or at the casement seen her stand?
Or is she known in all the land,
    The Lady of Shalott?

    Only reapers, reaping early,
    In among the bearded barley
Hear a song that echoes cheerly
    From the river winding clearly;
    Down to tower'd Camelot;
And by the moon the reaper weary,
    Piling sheaves in uplands airy,
Listening, whispers, " 'Tis the fairy
    The Lady of Shalott."

There she weaves by night and day
A magic web with colours gay.
She has heard a whisper say,
A curse is on her if she stay
    To look down to Camelot.
She knows not what the curse may be,
    And so she weaveth steadily,
And little other care hath she,
    The Lady of Shalott.

And moving through a mirror clear
That hangs before her all the year,
    Shadows of the world appear.
There she sees the highway near
    Winding down to Camelot;
    There the river eddy whirls,
And there the surly village churls,
And the red cloaks of market girls
    Pass onward from Shalott.

Sometimes a troop of damsels glad,
An abbot on an ambling pad,
    Sometimes a curly shepherd lad,
Or long-hair'd page in crimson clad
    Goes by to tower'd Camelot;
And sometimes through the mirror blue
The knights come riding two and two.
She hath no loyal Knight and true,
    The Lady of Shalott.

But in her web she still delights
To weave the mirror's magic sights,
For often through the silent nights
A funeral, with plumes and lights
    And music, went to Camelot;
Or when the Moon was overhead,
Came two young lovers lately wed.
"I am half sick of shadows," said
    The Lady of Shalott.

    A bow-shot from her bower-eaves,
He rode between the barley sheaves,
The sun came dazzling thro' the leaves,
And flamed upon the brazen greaves
    Of bold Sir Lancelot.
    A red-cross knight for ever kneel'd
To a lady in his shield,
That sparkled on the yellow field,
    Beside remote Shalott.

    The gemmy bridle glitter'd free,
Like to some branch of stars we see
    Hung in the golden Galaxy.
    The bridle bells rang merrily
As he rode down to Camelot:
And from his blazon'd baldric slung
    A mighty silver bugle hung,
And as he rode his armor rung
    Beside remote Shalott.

All in the blue unclouded weather
    Thick-jewell'd shone the saddle-leather,
    The helmet and the helmet-feather
Burn'd like one burning flame together,
As he rode down to Camelot.
As often thro' the purple night,
    Below the starry clusters bright,
    Some bearded meteor, burning bright,
    Moves over still Shalott.

    His broad clear brow in sunlight glow'd;
    On burnish'd hooves his war-horse trode;
    From underneath his helmet flow'd
His coal-black curls as on he rode,
As he rode down to Camelot.
From the bank and from the river
He flashed into the crystal mirror,
    "Tirra lirra," by the river
    Sang Sir Lancelot.

She left the web, she left the loom,
She made three paces through the room,
    She saw the water-lily bloom,
She saw the helmet and the plume,
    She look'd down to Camelot.
    Out flew the web and floated wide;
    The mirror crack'd from side to side;
"The curse is come upon me," cried
    The Lady of Shalott.

    In the stormy east-wind straining,
The pale yellow woods were waning,
The broad stream in his banks complaining.
    Heavily the low sky raining
    Over tower'd Camelot;
Down she came and found a boat
    Beneath a willow left afloat,
And around about the prow she wrote
    The Lady of Shalott.

And down the river's dim expanse
Like some bold seer in a trance,
Seeing all his own mischance --
    With a glassy countenance
    Did she look to Camelot.
And at the closing of the day
    She loosed the chain, and down she lay;
The broad stream bore her far away,
    The Lady of Shalott.

    Lying, robed in snowy white
That loosely flew to left and right --
The leaves upon her falling light --
Thro' the noises of the night,
    She floated down to Camelot:
And as the boat-head wound along
The willowy hills and fields among,
They heard her singing her last song,
    The Lady of Shalott.

    Heard a carol, mournful, holy,
    Chanted loudly, chanted lowly,
Till her blood was frozen slowly,
And her eyes were darkened wholly,
    Turn'd to tower'd Camelot.
For ere she reach'd upon the tide
The first house by the water-side,
Singing in her song she died,
    The Lady of Shalott.

    Under tower and balcony,
    By garden-wall and gallery,
A gleaming shape she floated by,
    Dead-pale between the houses high,
    Silent into Camelot.
Out upon the wharfs they came,
Knight and Burgher, Lord and Dame,
And around the prow they read her name,
    The Lady of Shalott.

Who is this? And what is here?
And in the lighted palace near
    Died the sound of royal cheer;
And they crossed themselves for fear,
    All the Knights at Camelot;
But Lancelot mused a little space
    He said, "She has a lovely face;
God in his mercy lend her grace,
The Lady of Shalott."|||Go to Yahoo's search engine, put in a couple of short phrases in quotes, and you'll get websites. Or you could go here and use the FIND function, which is probably under EDIT in your toolbar:

    Hi,

My husband and I saw a house we loved in Santa Clara, California, on Bray avenue but the crime reports website has several thefts (4 in the last 3 days) and several registered offenders living nearby. This is our first home, we have been living in apartments throughout so we never did check the crime reports website. Having seen it now, i am a little overwhelmed with all the information.

yes, i know, it just came out today...but i'm DYING to know what happens, and i can't actually get the book for another week...so PLEASE answer these two questions (ppl who don't want the book spoiled, just don't read the answers!)

    1. your personal opinion of how the book is (scale of 1-10, and why)
    2. if kartik and gemma actually get together!!!!

thanks so much :)|||Are you sure you're up for spoilers? Ok. For anyone reading this, please STOP if you do NOT want spoilers! So, please don't complain that I've spoiled it for you! You could've stopped when you wanted.

I just did a marathon reading of The Sweet Far Thing yesterday and so...:

    1. Score: 9

This book was a beautiful, and sadly bittersweet, end to the series. At times, certain scenes will make you forget to breathe and other times it will tug at your heart strings. I've noticed that this book, more than the others, is more infused with morals and values, presenting subtle lessons along the way that are invaluable for an feminist or otherwise. There are themes of free will and choice as Gemma and the other characters struggle to understand the nature of destiny and their purpose. But the book also frustrates you with the actions that characters take and the actions they did not take. Did one certain character truly have to hold all of the burden of the Tree of Souls in the end because they, by chance, happened to be nearest it? You'll get what I mean when you near the end of the book, with the final climatic scene.

    2. Kartik and Gemma do get together. It was beautiful. In fact, I was really surprised at the extent they got together... but all rabid fans will not be disappointed. I couldn't help squealing! =D Yet, it's true that with the highest hopes, comes the greatest fall. At times, you'll scream with frustration and plead with an imaginary Libba Bray in your head to be kinder. You'll begin wild imaginings where you hope and hope what you read isn't true and you HAVE to flip to the end, only to be disappointed. Or maybe it's just me. So, please don't get your hopes too high. Just enjoy the moments that they're together. I'd like to think that the Order and Rakshana symbol of love (two hands clasped in a circle) you'll see in the book aptly describes Gemma and Kartik.
As Kartik once said, "The hands are protected by the circle, the symbol of eternity...because there is no telling where it begins or ends, nor does it matter."

I hope that helps!|||they dont get together forever though.

If they attend a government or a public school, it has no specific religion for a reason.
An example might be a muslim family wanting to send there children to a school. They can't afford a muslim school but they don't want to send them to a Christian school either, being muslims.
    So they chose public.
Public schools don't have special religions. Or races. Praying in them would be excluding or making some students feel uncomfortable if they are a different religion.

Ive heared that the alan bray dvd teach your dog to win is a good dvd but i would only be interested in the puppy section and im told that that section is tiny, can some one please tell me the basics of what he says in this section on play etc? Does he play with his puppy very lightly when tugging?

When getting a dog 'onto' a toy what is peoples advice? my little dog currently plays indoors, but havnt yet tried outside, he does play with me outside, ie chases me but havnt tried using a toy yet.

Any advice is great, thank you.|||First of all. You should not be attempting any sort of full blown Agility until the dog is at least a year old.

Secondly, find something like a squeaky toy, rag pull or even a tennis ball that your dog adores, you can use this to lure him onto and through the obstacles.

You can start your dog off on elements of Agility before he's a year old, you can start to build the muscles and introduce him to some of the concepts.

You can encourage older pups to scramble up and over obstacles and banks, walk along the tops of walls. All of these activities will prepare him for later Agility lessons.

Start including the words you will use in Agility in his training
    OVER - over an obstacle
    HERE - come towards you
CLOSE or SIT - at the start
AWAY - send him away from you
DROP or DOWN - lie down on the table.
HOLD or STAY - wait on a mark
SLOW or STEADY - slow down to hit a mark
UP - Table, 'A' frame and walkway
    BIG OVER - long jump
    THROUGH - tyre, tunnel
    WEAVE - poles

JUMP - tells your dog to look for a jump
TUNNEL - tells him to look for a tunnel
A FRAME - tells him to look for an A frame
WALKUP - tells him to look for the walkway

Remember to choose words specific to Agility that you never use for normal training.

Train yourself to always use the same word for the same action.

Usually the biggest problem when first training a dog for Agility is the Tunnel. So if you can find yourself a "tunnel" and start calling your dog through one of those, then your problems will be dramatically reduced when you first start proper training. You can also start them on weaves, stick bamboo poles in the ground.

Basically you can start on all the ground elements, it's just the jumping you need to leave until he's a year old.

While the dog is learning the elements, keep things slow and sure. Support your dog on the above ground elements and do your best to prevent him falling off. Use loads of treats and encouragement.

The one element that may actually frighten your dog (after he gets over that dark restrictive tunnel) to start with is the see-saw (teeter-totter in American). The footing is very unstable and it moves, so major support needed with this element.

You can start training a pup over very small "jumps", basically a pole on the ground or very low so that they get used to the idea of targeting a "jump".

Last of all, Agility is -FUN- it should never be a chore or something to be fearful of. During training you must always aim towards your dog getting truly excited about the prospect of this faboulous "game"; this means that -you- must get excited.|||I haven't seen the dvd but do know Alan Bray.I've trained dogs & competed in agility for 24 years.
The way dogs are trained & the speed of rounds has changed a great deal in that time.Dogs are now trained to have high drive as well as acuracy.Heres my advice but it depends on the breed you are training.Collies like tennis balls on a rope.Other breeds may prefer raggy toys.

The aim is to have an adult dog that grips & tugs with all its power. The tugging pressure increases with age & confidence. The focus on winning the toy must be so strong that the dog will not let go until given a command to do so.

Until puppies have finished teething at around 6 months old it is not advisable to play tugging. If they feel pain while playing it can put them off tugging for good!
Until that age I drag toys across the floor very quickly in a teasing way. This brings out the chase instinct & the want to grab it.
When they grab it I let go & let them have it for a few seconds before I repeat the excercise.I will tell them 'Get It' in a gruff voice.
This 'get it' command will be useful later on to keep them gripping when I teach tugging.

Play a few inside then go outside & play. Then come back inside & play again.

Always end the game while the dog still wants the toy.
Put the toy away & only use it for that game.
This toy is special & is only for interacting with you.

Don't let him chase you unless you have the toy in sight & let him have it at the end of the chase.
If you don't it can lead to biting of trousers & jumping up.

Hope that helps in some way.
It is easier to demonstraight it than write it. Thats why the dvd would help you more.I know you say you only need the puppy bit, but won't you need the rest for later when you start to train agility?

Have fun with your little pup & I hope he makes a successful agility dog for you.

Breagan is the only one that might be real, and if it is, it's definitely a boy's name.|||I have no problem with any name but I wish parents would remember that the kid has to go through life with the name that they chose, often for some reason that has nothing to do with the success of the child. Our first question when we picked our children's names was: How are peers going to react to it? Then, how are teachers? And finally, how is a prospective employer going to visualize the person holding this name? My feeling is: Pick a first name that others will not have difficulty pronouncing, spelling or feeling comfortable with. Save the creativity for the middle name which becomes an initial anyway.

For instance, if your surname is Schmidt, don't you dare name your son Fuller.|||In my opinion alone I think names that you can't pronounce are an embarrassment for a child and everyone she may meet. They are all daft and over complicated except Kaisley which sound a bit harsh and made up for the hell of it. To be honest I think they are all dreadful.|||I really like those names:) but then again, i like unusal names like Xenia for a girl and Alexavier for a guy. and depressed for awhile
    I couldn't beleive it
it was just a total shock
I can't beleive it had to end like that
I JUST CANT|||Yeah Libba Bray is great!! but i would cry more at my friends funural to be honest lol :)|||What's the question? If it's bad that you cried more with this novel than when you're friend passed? If that is it, then, no I don't think that you should feel bad. It all depends on where you're at emotionally in you life at the moment, or duration of when the event occured. I'm the same way. I look back and analyze how much I cried compared to another time when something terrible happened. But you can't blame yourself, it's your state of mind. Plus, you can cry about things long after what happend happend. Some things just affect you and some things effect you. But one way or another, all stays with you throughout your life, and you will look back and reflect, and hopefully one day not analyze, and just feel. You'll still FEEL fore the rest of your life. there's not a limited space in time that you HAVE to cry in orelse you're viewed as EVIL! Don't worry, the fact that you didn't cry also may mean that you haven't accepted it or are in denial. SEE THERE'S LOTS MORE TO ANALYZE THAN JUST WHEN THE RIGHT TIME TO CRY WAS OR WASN'T USED!! lol...just thoughts, Denial is our friend and foe. Tears represent pain, joy, fear, sorrow, contentment, .....and the list goes on and on. You be the judge........just not the judge of yourself.|||I know what you mean by feeling close to Kartik, I think Libba Bray is brilliant with drawing you into the characters, but I HATED the third book - I didn't cry at all, I was too mad! The ending totally ruined the rest of the series for me, because it ends and she's crying and all alone. What kind of ending is that?! I think if they'd BOTH somehow been part of the Tree of All Souls it would have been better! But whatever... Maybe I'll just have to rewrite the ending for myself. ;)

I've read the Twilight series (who hasn't) and am quite sick of vampires.
I've read most Sarah Dessen novels, Libba Bray's, The Luxe series and others.

Suggestions are much appreciated, thanks! :)|||Ohhh I love The Luxe and I do like Twilight but I'm not really into vampires either. But I might recommend one because it's really good but not like twilight =)

I'll give a little review along with other books I liked to recommed =)
And also try to get a mix of everything then with romance, friendship, and meaning鈽烩樅鈽?=)

Perfect Chemistry (this book is a cute romance novel that shows that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover because you don't know what there really is ^_~)

Flipped (this book is a cute romance novel with troubles of falling in love and being in love as a teenager. Also a heartwarming story.)

The Private series by Kate Brian (if you like romance novels with a twist of secrets and scandals, this book is great without being like Gossip Girl!!)

Kira Kira (Sometimes I take a break from romance and read books like this which is sad yet meaningful.)

Thousand Splendid Suns By Khaled Hosseini (THE BEST BOOK EVER!!! I think it's sad yet meaningful and makes you feel grateful of all our rights us women have these days)

The Kite Runner By Khaled Hosseini (It is also by the same author of Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, and this book will make you look at the world a different way. And I'm pretty sure someone also recommended this book too)

So B. It (You probably read this but even though it's sad, you'll cherish each moment and page until the book ends)

Bloom By Elizabeth Scott (A fresh, honest, and heartfelt story of a first love)

The Luxe series (this book has love with a twist in action. You'll always be surprised at what happens in this book since it's in New York in 1899.)

Friend me by cathy hopkins (this is a great friendship and shows how you can overcome hard times with the help of friends ^^)

The Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz (has vampires and romance but isn't like Twilight)

Well I hope that Helps =)
Good Luck ^^|||well even though you say youre sick of vampires, you should try out some vampyres. lol. i LOVEEE the house of night series by p.c. cast and kristin cast. theyre

detailed summary needed, please :)|||can any one teach you not to put two c's in front of your question?|||Set in 1890s India/England/Fantasy land
A young girl (fifteen or sixteen) is living in India with her parents. She is unhappy and wanting to go to England be like other kids. She's talking back to her mother in the marketplace and acting like an ungrateful brat. They fight and argue. Her mother sends her home and continues on the errand by herself. HOWEVER, minutes later the young girl supernaturally has a vision of her mother's death. A premonition which proved to be true. The family returns to England. The father is depressed and addicted to drugs (opium, maybe???) and the girl is sent to a boarding school. She arrives at the boarding school and she's weirded out because of her reception on the road. I think they run into a village or camp of gypsies or something. Anyway, at school she doesn't fit in and the kids pick on her. She's befriended by another person her age who is also an outcast. She essentially hates the school and hates her classmates. One day she finds a journal/diary...I believe in the woods or in the caves or some weird location not in the normal routine of the students...and she begins reading it. The contents shock her. The diary is of a young girl who has supernatural powers and tells how she travels between dimensions--reality and magical fantasy realms. She discovers that she can go as well. The magic is within her it seems. And she discovers that she can take others with her. She uses this power to make friends with her classmates. This whole group of girls now go back and forth between reality and fantasy worlds heedless of any possible dangers. There are dangers, it is risky. And they do break the rules. There are consequences.

My English teacher wants us to bring in a book that we think our peers might possibly enjoy. I am having a ridiculously hard time deciding which book I ought to bring in. But thankfully, I have managed to narrow it down to two books. Which do you think I should bring? Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice or A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray?|||AGATB. Love that trilogy, always will.
I'm just sad that it will probably turn into the new Twilight since it is also being made into a movie.|||i personally haven't read anne rice's novel yet, but i loved a great and terrible beauty. the series was so much fun to read and i would think many would like to read it, if they're patient! the last book took me longer than it would normally take for me to read it because i had an ap exam to study for, but i could have read it soooo much faster if i didn't have the exam. i enjoyed it that much. but, why not bring in both books? if you like both, then maybe the others will like it too.

how would you spell the girl name sounding bray-uh?

im thinking breyah, breya? but i need more spellings that look nice but also dont confuse the pronunciation.

thanks|||Br茅a. The "茅" is pronounced "ay", like in the name Aur茅lia (awe-RAY-lee-uh).|||I instantly thought Breya, like Theya and Freya.
    Its very pretty.
    I guess there is also:
    Braeuh
    Braiah
    Brayah
    Braya
I dont know, im just making them up, i prefer Breya.|||Breya is cute ^_^|||Sorry, can't really help with the spelling. But if I sounded it out right, all that comes to mind are the tar pits in California. You can look those up and see how that's spelled. :)
But how about Braya-it's spelled like it sounds.|||Brea. I don't know how that got to be a girl's name. In LA it means tar. Everything in the vicinity of the tar pits is called La Brea this or that --boulevard, avenue, boutique hotel. I guess as long as she never goes to Southern California or meets anyone who speaks Spanish it would be okay but in those situations a girl with that name would find herself the source of great hilarity. BTW I wouldn't mind being named Brea or La Brea myself. I was a total dinosaur freak when I was a kid and yearned to visit the tar pits the way other kids want to go to Disneyland. I would have proudly told anyone I met that I was named after the La Brea Tar Pits, one of the richest sources of fossils of extinct animals in the world. That just gave me a great idea for a story. Is this true?
And how would protect your camera?|||X-ray will not damage the camera. The huge magnets used for checked baggage could be an issue, but since it is always best to carry all your photo gear as carry on, I have never had to test that premise. My guess is that any film camera would be fine and DSLR's may be okay.

Why don't you call Canon or Nikon and ask. 800.NIKON-UX or 800.OK-CANON

Film is a different deal. It is best to have it hand inspected as you carry it on the plane. Exposed film is more susceptible to fogging than unexposed film. The severe troubles our nation now finds itself in has been caused by the labour party's own incompetence and negligence ; so why is gordon brown braying about his so called remedies ? Frankly we have been conned long enough. He should clean out the present cache of untrustworthy MPs before we could trust the party again.. There is nothing of the Socialist in any of them now.|||Because he believes the voting public are gullible enough to believe him. Did you hear him yesterday on the news at tthe conference saying that he now pledges to crack down on yob? That one was pretty ripe sure enough. Labour have been telling us that for 13 years and haven't done anything about it not zilch!

Mostly Labour are up in the polls as the surveys are being done in mainly labour, staunchley supported areas. I don't pay a lot of attention to the news medias polls anyway but I do listen when I hear a lot of labour supporters in my area knocking labour for all they are worth. Some are so angry with Brown and the people in the cabinet they nearly spit when they talk. You don't have to say anything to them to get them started either. People have honestly had enough. They don't like the Tories or Libdems either and I'm beginning to think more and more we are going to have a hung parliament. Its like the other day I heard one of the local constituents labour party officers saying that getting the truth out of a labour or tory politician either one was like trying to, his words, "stick a wet noodle up a wild cats ****". I just thought how true that is but for any MP we have sitting in the house now, either house for that matter.

Vote any independent! Even a hung parliament will get the people represented for a change and maybe do some good for our country. Can't be any worse than it is now or what the tory's did when they were in govt. last.|||Yes & No comes to mind. Yes - he should clear out the untrustworthy MP's. No - Socialist ideals have not gone, but taken a battering and I think it is a reinterpretation of them in the modern world.
It is a common perception that Labour have messed up big time. But hang on...The UK is probably the only main country that has relied more on financial services sector than any other main EU country and would classify UK's situation as unique. With world economic events, mainly borne out of dodgy financial products creatively engineered by the big US commercial banks, it was inevitable that the UK was going to be a big casualty in the global financial storm. But I guess Gordon is praising himself for making unpopular decisions, e.g. stabilising the UK Bank sector or remaining in Afghanistan and yet still doing relatively well in the Polls.|||This is silly. I am certainly no fan of the New Labour Government but they did not cause the crisis and in fact, in my view have dealt with it sensibly.

The crisis was caused by irresponsible banks who probably should have been more tightly regulated but both Labour and Tory Governments share some blame for this (and, in fairness, deregulation is often a very positive policy).

They clearly made mistakes, as every Government does; the Tories over did the monetarism and took us into the ERM. I think this Government over spent, got in to some silly wars and have made a mess of education. But, the recession was caused by credit that was to cheap and too loose.|||I am no friend of Mr Brown or New Labour. The problem I have is that the only real alternative is an inexperienced mob whom New Labour most resemble.

Because I am fast approaching the 'old git' stage of life, I know the Conservatives are no better. Michael Portillo had to apologise for the last Tory governments vilification and stigmatisation of single mothers... yet this mob are up to exactly the same thing and are so bound up in their class prejudices that they can't even get their statistics right.

I'm joining Alice Cooper and voting for the 'Wild' party! :-)|||Because he understands the English character (he is from north of the borrder). We love to be shafted and, like Oliver, ask for more.|||If Gordon Brown didn't pat himself on the back who else would?

Geelong is the perfect example of a team that doesnt rely on just one or two key players to win a game. The whole side is awesome!!

...but I still wish the Doggies won!|||**They're a very strong team and have worked very hard to get where they are today. The only 'special medicine' that they've taken is a lot of hard work and determination.**|||Geelong are just too good, they don't need 'special medicine'. It takes place during the Victorian age, initially in India and later in England. The story is about a teenager named Gemma, her best friends at an all-girl's boarding school, and a mysterious/handsome Indian boy named Kartik. It's a supernatural historical novel with some adventure, suspense, mystery, and romance. Book 2 of the trilogy is called REBEL ANGELS, followed by THE SWEET FAR THING.

Can anyone help me convert olsen p of 16.5 to bray-1p|||Your Bray P is either 30ppm or 0-5ppm.
The correct answer depends on your soil's pH. Let me explain:

Olsen P is an alkaline extraction. Bray P is an acid extraction. You need to know if you have an alkaline or acid soil. If you are alkaline, there should be no need to convert as the Olsen P should be accurate. If you have an acid soil, you may want to re-run soil analysis with Bray P.

I work with alkaline soils, and I have experienced grower's panic calls because the soil test P comes back at 3ppm and they just spent $300 on phosphate!! After finding that its Bray P, I tell them to relax and tell them to re-run with a lab that does Olsen P. It then comes back around 20ppm and everybody is happy and cheerful.

Check out this presentation from Iowa State. P.11 has some graphs that can help you in a conversion. You'll see why the pH of your soil matters in your conversion. http://www.agronext.iastate.edu/soilfert鈥?/a>

does anyone know if Libba Bray is coming out with a new book since her last, The Sweet Far Thing..?|||I love Libba, and her books. The Gemma Doyle Trilogy is done, she's ***************** (spoiler) and it's over. Done. Complete. However you phrase it, it means she's not making any more.

However, she's CURRENTLY writing a book called Going Bovine. It's about a boy with mad Cow Disease, and he and his friend or something are going on a road trip... I don't know the whole plot, but I think I heard it supposed to come out Fall 2009.

They ARE making a movie of at least AGATB, and it's supposed to come out in 2010 sometime (such a long wait) and she's magificent at keeping us posted and on top of things on her Livejournal, http://libba-bray.livejournal.com/|||no! I am sooo dissapointed! The series is only made up of three books! sucks huh?|||i read her books and i love them. i don't think so but i hope she does|||ahhh..no|||Nope thats the last one from the Gemma Doyle Trilogy =[|||not really what is it?|||not sure..i don't know if the rumors are true or not..but people say there even making a movie on the books..not sure?

    1. Is she planning at all what so ever even considering making a 4th book to her gemma doyle trilogy? ex: great and terrible beauty, Rebel angels and The sweet far thing

    2. Does she have a fan mail address or a writing address or email address or anyway to contact other then her lj. i have tons of questions.

    3. Who else loved these books and cried when "he" died!?!?! that was like the ultimate sacrifice!|||For now, no The sweet far thing was the ending to the trilogy and she left it with a loop hole so that you can imagine what happens after that. she will not give out a fan mail address or email address and no one knows why but i dont think i would give mine out either... Sorry!! and This book was amazing easily one of my favorites and one of the best ive read! Hands down amazing! I was in tears even at my dinner table after reading it, and in school the story we read had someone die and i nearly burst into tears thinking about kartiks death!!|||i just finished reading the 3rd book and i still cant stop crying! i hate the fact that Kartik dies and i sorta guess i understand why that happened but the book left me wanting more so i hope that she makes a 4Th book to the gemma Doyle series!

  • I read Betwixt by Tara Bray Smith a while ago and thought it was really good. I heard that she was making a sequel that is coming out in 2010, but was wondering if anyone knows the exact date?|||No, I don't, unfortunately...
I'm still in the middle part, but it's great to hear that there will be a sequel! The book has really grown on me. I didn't think much of it at first coz the beginning was kinda slow and vague. I'm glad I stuck with it though! Now I can hardly put it down. :)

Anyway, (back to your question) just keep checking in on her official website. I'm sure she'll post more details later on. :)

I read Advanced Paternal Age, How old is too old? By Isabelle Bray et.al on the internet. Its a paper concerned about the health risks of late childbearing including birth defects cancer and schizophrenia in the offspring.|||This is very debatable, especially in the present day with all the talk of IVF treatment for older women. It used to be that a woman who was 30 and having her first baby, would have 'Elderly Primagravida' written on her notes. Elderly at 30!! Now many women are delaying starting a family until well into their 30s and even waiting until 40. Nature looks after a woman by ceasing egg production, but of course men can continue fathering children for what seems like forever and I think this is where the risks that you're speaking of can arise. I personally wouldn't have welcomed a pregnancy after I was 35; pregnancy makes lots of demands upon the body, then there's the actual birth, followed by nights of broken sleep and the sheer amount of energy expended in bringing up a child. This is all followed by the traumas of the teenage years, which I'm sure must be more difficult to cope with once you're past 50.|||i say 30|||i think 40 is the limit. by that time your body is getting ready to go threw menopause and that is enough of a change.|||44? I am 29 and want more kids. i have one. I guess i should of started sooner if they say 30. I know alot of people having them in late 30's and 40's|||As long as you are capable of looking after them, then any age, i don't see what the problem is, all a child needs is a loving, caring family.|||I think 40 should be the absolute limit, I was 23 and 25 when I had my children and feel that this was a nice age as I wasn't too old as they were growing up.|||Not sure. I had my children at 32 and 35 I had no problems at all. I stopped at 35 because all of the risks scared me.|||depends on how healthy and fit you are. a friend of mine is super healthy and had a healthy baby at 38. But i read somewhere that 24 to 28 are the best years for child bearing, and coincidently, i had my first child at 24 and my second at 28.|||Who's really to say. It's all about each individuals views. Some women think that women who have their babies in their early 20s are having them too young and not giving the women enough time to establish a career, while other women feel women who have them later in life put their careers ahead of a family. I think when a women is emotionally ready to take on the task is when she should have her children. LOVE and a good home are really all that's important in raising children.|||i think 40 but even then i think this is a little on the older side. you wan tot make sure that you are healthy enough to take care of these children.|||I'm 34 and I have an 18 month old and I'm 4 months pregnant. Part of me wishes I would have had them sooner so that I would be younger while they are growing up, and part of me is glad it didn't happen until now. I'm more emotionally ready than I would have been 10 years ago. It all depends on the individual person. I won't be having any more though because of possible risks.|||i would say 40s as it isn't fair on the child if the Parent is for example 50, when the child is 20 the parent will be 70. xx|||I'm nearly 35 and having my first. I would have had a baby earlier but infertility made it impossible.

I'm fine health wise - I'm a trained dancer and healthier and slimmer than most 21 year olds. I have had an uncomplicated pregnancy and tested low risk for Downs Syndrome and other health problems in my baby.

And I fully intend to have at least one more baby in the next few years - I'll probably be about 37 or 38 when I have the next one.

My mum had me at 36 (my dad was 52). I sure as hell don't have "cancer, birth defects or schizophrenia"! She had my brother at 41 (my dad was 58!) again, no problems at all, easy births and pregnancy, didn't even get morning sickness with ether of us.

My grandmother had her kids at 36, 38 and 40 in the days before advanced medical technology. Three healthy pregnancies and trouble free births, three big healthy babies with no problems.

Noone in the family has schizophrenia or any other birth defect!!!!

So I really feel a bit resentful when people say these things to be honest. Its not always possible or a good idea to have kids in your 20s.|||when your body says you cant have anymore. if you are still able to have children at sixty then why not! there are some active sixty year old like peggy and jone collin.and some of these people are much more able to look after and love children then us younger ones. just take a look at our grandparents and the amount of kids and grandkinds they are letf to look after and they still have energy to cook and clean and do other stuff in between.|||i think around 35-40 after that its time for grandchildren and being able to pass them back at the end of the day. my mother in law is 45 she has a little girl of 7mths and just found out shes pregnant again i think its stupid concidering she dont evan want this 1 and can just about look after the other.|||I think that younger is better, definetely under 40. My boyfriend is 21 years old and his dad is over 70 and he hates it. He gets alot of anxiety because he thinks he has to achieve so much when he's young so his dad can be there for it. Being an older parent makes it very hard to bond with your children and especially to know what they are going through because the world changes so quickly and what they went through as a kid will not be the same as when their son or daughter is growing up.

If you didn't watch the Academy Awards, the film version of the book was nominated several times, including for best picture. Though it is at its root a tragic love story, it should not be written off as such. I myself usually loathe romance novels, but Atonement is filled with complex and unforgettable characters whose fates serve as a reminder that humanity is inexorably intertwined. The conflict of the plot stems from a misunderstanding by one of the main characters, Briony Tallis, of the love between her sister Cecilia, and the charming and intelligent son of their maid, Robbie Turner. Throughout the course of the novel, Briony realizes that the actions which resulted from her misunderstanding damaged the lives of the two lovers forever, and through war and passion, tragedy and joy, Briony discovers what it truly means to atone for her mistakes, and in doing so immortalizes the lovers in a way that life alone could never do.|||Madeleine L'Engle:

    John Beachem:
Storms of Vengeance is John's first novel and I've been told that it is part of a series of 8 to 10 books. There is a murder mystery to be solved. Who did it and why? There is a mythical Lorradda Stone to locate. There are three parallel stories as we follow the actions of three different groups of people. There are also some ogres, two elves, several sorcerers, a troll, and one very impressive river monster. The book ends with a cliff hanger. One reason that young people gave for liking Harry Potter was the detail in the stories. They will find plenty of detail here as well. The title of the second book in the series will be The Hunter and the Marked.

    David Eddings:
There are three stories in Volume I of The Belgariad: Pawn of Prophecy, Queen of Sorcery, and Magician's Gambit. Volume II of The Belgariad has two stories: Castle of Wizardry and Enchanters' End Gambit. If you are looking for grand adventure and plenty of detail it is here. Some may object to the slow progression and limited action of this tale. A sorcerer and his daughter, a sorceress, have gathered together a group of individuals to fight evil. It seems that the particular make-up for this group is necessary based upon an ancient prophecy. The group includes: the Nimble Thief, the Man with Two Lives, the Blind Man, the Dreadful Bear, the Knight Protector, the Horse Lord, the Bowman, the Queen of the World, and the Mother of the Race that Died. A young boy named Garion, who was raised by his Aunt Pol, is caught up in all of this, though he doesn't know why. But then, is she really his Aunt? There is so much detail that I have not as yet confirmed there are no mistakes in the mapping of the story. I thoroughly enjoyed The Belgariad and look forward to reading the sequel, The Mallorean.

  • WOULD PROBABLY NEVER CONSIDER SOME OF THESE JUST WONDERING

    Colessa (Co-less-uh)

    Hilarity (Hill-air-it-tee)

    Braelyn (Bray-lin)

    Cubby (Cub-bee)

    Evaletta (E-vuh-let-tuh)

    Asher (Ash-ur)

    Poem (Po-em)

    Tria (Tree-uh)

Would u ever consider some of these names or they just too weird?
Most are made up but some are actual names.|||Braelyn is somewhat acceptable. I like Asher. Poem is sort of ok. I would consider Asher. I really like the name Ashmal too.|||Colessa [it's not my style but I wouldn't be weirded out by a person with that name. It's kind acute actually]

Hilarity [God NO! Hilary is bad enough, Hilarity sounds like someone misspelled hilarious]

Braelyn [I could definitely use tha!]

Cubby [ok this reminds me of either a taxi driver or a puppy. so no.]

Evaletta [sounds just a tad too made up and is not my style but it could work for someone]

Asher [yes I actually know that name and would use it 100%]

Poem [weirdly enough this is a g.p. name that I could use for a girl]

Tria [sounds like a short form of some name so I wouldn't use it as it is. Plus sounds a bit too girly]|||I'm assuming you;re not expecting.

Colessa (Co-less-uh): It's not horrible, I guess. But I don't really like it.

Hilarity (Hill-air-it-tee): It wouldn't be that bad, since it sounds like Hillary, but please never name a child this if you have one :). They would get teased because it's the noun of the word hilarious.

    Braelyn (Bray-lin): Pretty nice name.

Cubby (Cub-bee): Again would be teased. Cubby house, a bear cub, or chubby Cubby.

Evaletta (E-vuh-let-tuh): I'd prefer just Eva. Evaletta sounds liek abn older person name.

Asher (Ash-ur): So long as it's for a boy, I quite like this name.

Poem (Po-em): I guess it could be a virtuous-type name. Pretty but could get teased too

Tria (Tree-uh):SOunds too much like trio or tree, but at least it sort of sounds like a name.

I would consider Asher and amybe Braelyn. Asher is not that unusual. Some of them are a bit too much though :). But good job in making names up :)|||Colessa- Not Bad
Hilarity- Um....no! Try Clarity or Trinity
    Braelyn- Love It!
    Cubby- Please Don't
    Evaletta- Too old fashioned!

    Asher- I've heard worst
    Poem-I actually like it!
    Tria-eeeh!

I would consider Braelyn but spelt Brailyn or Braylinn
My little cousin's name is Braylon, it's a boy! And I've met a little girl named Braelyn|||Colessa, no.
Hilarity - are you joking? never.
Braelyn... nah, but I'm sure there's people called that out there.
    Cubby. lol. no.
    Evaletta, never.

    Asher... I like it.
Poem - what the hell? never.
Tria, nope.|||Braelyn and Asher are fine, Tria is okay, the rest, bleck. Especially Hilarity, which is tooooo funny *get it?*|||They're all interesting.|||The first and second name are adorible and the very last one is cute|||i would consider BRAELYN... best of the bunch

It's just so sick. Some of my friends at school say it's hilarious and bray with laughter when watching. It just makes me feel like throwing up most of the time though.

They say that it's just funny.

    But why? How?

Does anyone agree with me?|||There are many kinds of humor:
    Highbrow-upscale,dry thinking person's humor
    Middlebrow-regular guy humor
Lowbrow-risque,ribald,doofus and mostly offensive fratboy humor.

Family Guy quite definitely falls into the third category and as your reaction to it demonstrates, it is indeed not for everybody. I watch it myself, and even I have to turn my head in disgust when they clearly go beyond the pale. I like Family Guy NOT for the gross factor, but for the alternately clever/doofus humor, the send-ups/parodies and the signature flashback "Like the time I..." jokes. On that level, it's a great show, And sometimes you just want to watch some good silly comedy just to get some relief from all the crap that's happening these days. And even silly comedy can make serious points about real life issues ala Scrubs. In short they have heart. On shows like Family Guy, that heart isn't readily evident, so you've gotta kind of DIG for it. So if you can acknowledge all that and, hard as it is,overlook the gross and naughty bits, perhaps you'll be able to enjoy it a little more. Like I said, lowbrow humor is not for everyone, but even it has a purpose.|||Some people just do not like it.

It is usually dry and sarcastic, and I agree that some of it is like "man they took it to far" but sometimes its just funny, it all depends on your tastes.

Approach the show knowing its a joke, and the writers wrote it to be a joke and relax and watch it, if you do not then thats fine, a lot of people don't, and a lot of people do.|||As it's an adult comedy, maybe you aren't mature enough to understand the sarcasm, nuances, and political undertones.
Do you realise,Mayor Adam West,is actually voiced by Adam West, who was 'Batman' in the 1960s series, and is taking the p*ss out of himself!?
When you have lived life a bit more, maybe you'll find it as funny,as this 48 year old Welshman does!|||Sorry, but if you have to ask why it's funny then you will never understand. It's adult absurdest humor and not meant for everyone. You might say prudes need not try to watch it because they are sure to be shocked.
Family Guy is a love it or hate it show and the one thing that is for sure is that it is not meant for children.|||I can't work it out either.... I watched one were the wee boy wanted to be sexually abused by his father and the father didn't want to do it so he paid someone to sneak into the wee boys room at night and pretend to be him.... The wee boy went off to band camp happy his dad had sexually abused..|||Sorry, but I love it. You must be too young to understand it. The satire of it all. I watch it almost every day. My Mom watches it, my nephews watch it. We all love it. When we are all together we talk about it and laugh until we can't breath.|||i love it because of its striking relatability with my family. its like, if you combine family guy and everybody loves raymond, you get my family.|||No no no no no no noooooooooooooooo. that show is awesome! everyone i know who are my friends love it! from my 10 year old friend to my 14 year old friends. that show is awesome!|||its funny cause it makes fun of other movies?shows
and they have there own plot so its very creative
look if you don't like it good for you but alot of other people do|||Family guy has what some people call a "Crued" sense of humour. You personally have to enjoy that humour, in order to like the show.|||It's as funny as Ricky Chaves|||you have to have a sick and warped sense of humour, like me. i love family guy.|||Yes its sick.
That's mostly why it's an adult show.
    I like it though :]
They do adult things though.|||I hear you dude!
Its Bull man really don't find it funny!
And whats up with the one eyed person now thats just scary!!
    Lolz
X|||Buttscratcher!|||Family Guy is great!!!|||maybe you should try and explain why you don't find it funny!!

I think you're in the minority....|||oops, was gonna suggest Southpark, buuuuuut... maybe not|||Satire comedy. Seems like a kids show but it isn't.|||Oh havent you heard. it was my understanding that everyone had heard.

A well a bird bird bird bird birds the word.|||i agree most of the things are very harmful and hurtful.
    but sometimes its funny.
but i can understand why you dont think its funny,
    it prolly offended you
