you think of when u read it.. like a lyric of a song to any quote in the book and why that lyric goes with it.. or the whole song itself... anyways... plzz just help... thankya!|||i have never thought of a song when i read a book. when i read your question a song came to mind. "somewhere only we know" by keane. i dont know why i thought of this song but i hope it works|||I've read it and really liked it but it was a few years ago and I don't really think of songs when reading a book. sorry.|||Ah! I love that book!
Because the book is a historical fiction work, I don't really imagine any music going with it as well as classical music. However, if you go on the author's website, the author makes it very clear that she is a feminist. And this shows in her work-she has very strong female leads who don't need a man. Because of this, I think the song "Anthem" by Superchick goes well with the book and author's beliefs.|||I've read it, it was pretty good.
Now that you ask, the cover and the content of the book make me think that To The Spaceport from the Treasure Planet soundtrack fit well. The beginning of the song makes me think of the cover, a curvy young woman that seems the semblence of docility and classical femininty. Then the song bursts into defiance and a flurry of excitement, it soars and makes me think of Gemma being decidely undocile. Then it trickles back to a pleasing noise and then quiets, much like Gemma settles back into the role people want her to play though she is always watchful for a chance to burst out again.
