I think what is killing South Carolina is their play at the QB. Teams are double teaming Alshon Jeffery and putting 8 guys in the box to stop Lattimore. I think that South Carolina should have put more effort into recruiting a good QB after Garcia's sophomore year since he was never that great. If they had a good QB like Taj Boyd or Tyler Bray they would easily be a top 5 team right now.|||I think so. Garcia is extremely overrated and inconsistent. Look at last weeks game against auburn, he didn't play too good. their defense is good but honestly all you have to do is give them pressure and they close up. Clowney is a beast and he'll run all over the field, and same with lattimore. I agree, Spurrier didn't focus on his QB as much as he probably should have. it irks me that garcia's still there and STARTING. war eagle (;|||I really think that Spurrier all along has screwed up in his handling of Garcia. They have continued to keep this problem child at the school and on the team just for the sake that they possibly could win with him. They have pretty much let him get away with everything and they keep bringing him back. I think that might of had an effect on recruiting and swayed some good QB's away from S.C over the last couple of years.I think that has had an affect on the rest of the team too as they see Spurrier as a coach that does not follow through with his disciplinary actions.|||I doubt it.
