I don't know what the mixed thoughts you have heard are - but I have been a local for the last 15 years and never had a problem. Not remotely in the sticks - dont listen to Steve. Email me if you need any more firsthand knowledge on the area|||I wouldn't like to live there - it's right out in the sticks and it's population is mainly from the lower end of the socio-economic spectrum.
