I've read 2 of Linda Godfrey's book of the American werewolves sightings. I must say, it sounds rather intriguing. Not sure if I believe in all the things I read, but it does make you think about the possibilities. I mean we live in the world of the supernatural were strange things exist whether we are aware of it or not. Do you believe werewolves exist? Have you seen one?|||Werewolves cannot exist, except as a different type of delusion. The legendary
shapeshifting would require a miraculous growth and loss of bone and bone
structure as the skeleton would reshape itself, a rearrangement of internal
organs and associated connective tissue, nervous pathways, and blood vessels -
requiring "movement" of these structure through deep tissue and muscle, a
complete repatterning of the entire DNA code - systemwide - a thickening of the
dermis and a spontaneous growth of fur from hair follicles generated on the
spot, a reallocation of body mass and spontaneous generation of body tissue, and
last but not least, a loss of brain tissue as the brain cavity "shrunk" to the
dimensions of the wolf cranium.
When you lose brain tissue, it is like a VHS tape being erased - any data or
associative functions stored there are gone for good - like in a stroke or TIA
(transient ischemic attack). A werewolf able to transform would (if he could)
return to human form suffering from severe retardation, and would be a drooling
idiot at best and a homicidal, animalistic killer at worst.
The caloric expenditure necessary to fuel such a transformation is so high it is
impossible - the human body (at its full size) cannot ingest that much food
during one digestive cycle to power such a change. Also, the pain involved would
be so excruciating that the system itself would begin to shut down, and blood
pressure and heart rate would go so sky high that the cardiac muscle would
rupture and the "werewolf" would die from a cardiac hemmorhage.
The idea that the state of being a werewolf is somehow transmitted by a bite
suggests a retrovirus, similiar to AIDS, that could rewrite the DNA code of its
host. This "retrovirus" would have to be incredibly strong, and would be
detectable by any form of bloodwork performed on the individual. If, like AIDS,
it would be resistant to all but a lethal cocktail of drugs designed to kill the
virus, then we would also see congenital transmission among children from their
parents. As no hospital is reporting a strange new retrovirus that causes its
victims to change shape, we can therefore assume with a good deal of confidence
that such a retrovirus does not exist.

So I wouldn't depend to much on it. I'm sure that in those books of yours the stories were definitely exaggerated as the human mind seems to make it go. Also, from the doctor point of view. They are going by human standards. By all technical sense...the werewolf or any other "supernatural" or other kin isn't human now is it? Which makes your information dull and a rather waste of time to write. Don't you agree? As for all of that...yes they do exist. And you can't say they don't if you yourself don't know. That makes you a conceited liar, no? have any of you religious folk seen god? I don't think so. So why do you believe in him so much? You haven't seen him, and no scientific facts can back him now can they? You don't always have to see to believe. Just getting my point across...thats all..|||I was told by an covert operative in the government that indeed that this creatures exist and so do others. He says that his job is to hunt then down and to make sure that there existence is not known by the public.
To protect your self follow this instructions daily:
You must take care and never wander away from the group
Chant wero akorrirko bayrum asrar 3 when ever you feel a bad spirt
Carry some salt and holy water with you at all times
Carry a small bottle of urine from a cat this is the most inportant because it can hide your scent|||yes i agree with ringmaster.. ( he basically said what i would say)
i mean they do exist... just because science hasn't discovered us doesn't mean we aren't there... its because we don't want to become science expiriments..
and really how do you know if god is real? we havent seen him yet have we? so what makes you think he is there..there is no scientific proof that he is there...
so yes i agree with what ringmaster has said.. :)|||If warewolves did exist, i sure there would be a lot more of them. They are (by legand) very viscous creatures and there would be loads of people mauled over night, just doesn happen, unless some1 catches one and it is genuine then i dont beleive it at all|||It is physiologically impossible for a large mammal to change shape so radically in.. well, any amount of time, really.
No, werewolves do not exist. Although there are people who believe they are, and might indeed be animalistic psychologically speaking.|||I don't believe so until I see one besides, it doesn't say so in my religion.. but they may be the 'fallen angels' said in my religion.. but I don't know if they exist in werewolf forms...|||yes werewolves exist! i see one every-time i look in the mirror.
as for what is on Wisconsin's Bray Road i have no idea.
