I am reading the part when everyone is at the Worthingtons' Christmas ball and Simon offers Gemma absinthe.
Gemma notes that Simon looks unhappy when Felicity whisks her away after the drink.
And then he takes her behind a screen and then into a bedroom or something and kisses her and stuff.
Was he trying to get physically involved with her or something?|||Yep.
Keep reading, it's a good book. =)
