Now that Bovine is over, does anyone know anything about Libba Bray's new project?|||She's working on her next novel I think called BEAUTY QUEENS. Here is what Libba described it as. BRAY: I’m writing a book about a bunch of teen beauty queens whose plane crashes on a deserted island. It’s Lord of the Flies meets Lost but with a bitchin’ talent portion and lots of sequins. Stay tuned. I believe she is still writing it as of May 31, 2010, according to her journal and it won't be released until 2011. Then she wants to work on a historical Supernatural series called THE DIVINERS. Here is a review of the upcoming book from her journal. “In The Diviners, a supernatural fantasy series set in Manhattan during the 1920s, Bray follows a teen heroine she says is reminiscent of two of the era's most famous literary women—Zelda Fitzgerald and Dorothy Parker. Bray, who admitted to having always been fascinated by the Jazz Age, said she's looking forward ‘to offering readers a wild new ride full of dames and dapper dons, jazz babies and Prohibition-defying parties, conspiracy and prophecy—and all manner of things that go bump in the neon-drenched night.’” But that series may not be released until 2012.
