It starts off modern day but then this gorgeous young guy (how the book describes him) is whisked away back to the good ole days in Italy where he falls in love with a local and becomes intertwined with villains who want to kill the Dutchess. Meanwhile, he has a hard time transporting back home. Each time he leaves it takes him longer to get back and since he has cancer his parents are growing more and more concerned about. He can't help himself though because he fell in love and has to help the governement and is healthy in the other world. *The Italian scene also bumps the romance notch up quite a bit.|||i just read "a great and terrible beauty" and am currently reading "rebel angels" i love them!! idk of any other romance books for teens that take place in the victorian era, but i will be following the answers to this question, because i would like to know too!! lol. happy reading!! lol. i'm really not as nerdy as i sound.|||No idea.
